So…I didn’t wait a whole year after all. Maybe I’m not the horrible procrastinator I’m made out to be. Anyway, the real update is just one page. Click here to see new photos of the kids and some test shots from our new digital camera. Also please note that the voting and feedback pages are currently broken. Because of some nasty viruses (Code Red, Nimda, etc), I had turn off some of the web server’s features. I’ll fix it someday.

OK, while I’m at it, even though a lot of you have already seen these, I should mention something that was added to the site, but never mentioned here. Go to the Videos page to see a couple of videos we made earlier in the year right after we got a digital camcorder. They are big files, but they’re on a reasonably fast server for all you broadband users.

Also not previously noted is that the boomerang page moved to its own domain: www.boomsmith.com. That site was on a now defunct Yahoo web ring and got hits from all over the world. Here are some of the domains I got visitors from:

.com (Commercial), .net (Network), .fr (France), .nl (Netherlands), .edu (USA Educational), .br (Brazil), .ar (Argentina), .es (Spain), .ca (Canada), .mil (USA Military), .pf (French Polynesia), .fi (Finland), .si (Slovenia), .org (Non-Profit Organisations), .cz (Czech Republic), .it (Italy), .au (Australia)

Interestingly, those are in order of most visitors to the least. Australia had the least visitors to a boomerang site!

  • Boomsmith.com Updated

The Boomerang Page has been totally redesigned. Instead of one giant page with everything I have split it into several sections. There are several new boomerangs scanned in, too.

  • Happy New Year, Everybody!

Wow. Its been a long time since my last update, but I’ve been on holiday. (Plus my SIDS has been acting up). What’s new? Well, for one thing, I’ve moved my larger video files to a faster site, so if you’ve never looked at them because they took too long to DL, you can do it now (unless your slow connection is the problem).

In other news, Andrew and I wrote a new game over the holiday break. Perfecto, the Java-powered shape-matching game is available here. Its still under test, so if you find any problems with it, let me know.

  • Warhol Art Maker

Tanya-Self-Portrait-Framed.jpg (31753 bytes)I finally have a releasable version of my Warhol Art Maker program. It is available for download, so you can now easily make your own works of art. Click here to go to that page.

Perhaps bigger news than that is that Andrew has worked on his pages a bit. He started them weeks ago, but he’s only now ready for people to take a look. Who am I kidding? Of course that’s bigger news. I think it deserves a headline:

    ANDREW’S PAGES ARE
    READY FOR VIEWING!

Click here to check them out.

  • New Advice Page

Due to some possibly valid complaints, the entire site’s color scheme has been brightened up a bit. I hope everyone likes it, especially the complainers. I also fixed 4 grammar problems on the Boomerang page. I hope they didn’t bug anybody too badly. Keep those suggestions and complaints coming!

I have added a new page: The Advice Page. There you will find the wisdom of the ages relating to all things technical (or at least the geeky stuff I’m interested in).

I have also altered the Bighead Voting Page to include the results there instead of posting them here whenever I tally them.

Minor updates to the Boomerang page. I was loaned The Tauhert Collection and I am gradually scanning them in. Now you can see the boomerang Andrew Tauhert set his records with.

  • Esprit de Michelle

Esprit_de_Michelle.gif (16664 bytes)Added a fabulous new work of art to the Graphics page. I like Esprit de Michelle so much, I’m putting it here too.

There’s also a new version of the “Holly Angel” collage there, along with the precursors to my new work of art. One more thing added to that page is an old abstract painting I did in high school.

By request I also added a link to a really funny web page. I haven’t had a chance to check it out myself, but I am assured that it is hilarious. (I aim to please. Keep those comments coming!)

  • External Sites in their Own Window

Fixed the Links page so external sites come up in their own window instead of inside my frames.

  • The Pilip Connection

ayne loaned me some boomerangs to scan in.

    Happy Thanksgiving, Everybody!

  • More Doctored Photos

Added a cool black-and-white photo as a place holder for Michelle’s personal page off of the Family page.

To the Friends section of the  Photos page, I added some snapshots from “Monkey Show 96”, and a self-portrait from the Tahoe ski trip.

Added a few pieces of art to the Graphics page, including my most recent work, Sleepover, and to the Doctored Photos page, some work that’s not even mine. And can’t believe my luck in finding a rare piece by that noted computer graphics genius, Chris Crosby.

This gave me the idea of creating the email address submissions@brucearmstrong.net so people can send in anything they’d like to see appear here.

  • Monkey Show 96

Added a short “Monkey Show 96” clip to the Videos page.

Added the CD Label for “Andrew’s First Mix – 1999” to the Graphics page.
